Цели:
-- Развитие навыков аудирования, чтения , монологической и диалогической речи .
-- Продолжить развитие у учащихся навыков чтения, произношения, устной речи,
перевода
-- Развить интерес к истории, традициям и нравам страны изучаемого языка.
-- Способствовать ознакомлению с иноязычной культурой и расширению кругозора
учащихся средствами иностранного языка, Интернета.
Ход урока
1. Организационный момент, рапорт дежурного (2 мин.)
Teacher: Good afternoon! Sit down, please! What date is it today?
Student: Today is …
Teacher: Who is absent today?
Student: Nobody is absent today. All the students are present. All students are at the lesson.
Teacher: OK. Fine. Sit down, please.
2. Постановка темы урока:
Teacher: Today our lesson is devoted to the English Language. And we are going not only to
speak English and we shall be talking about English. We’ll try to find out main reasons for
learning English and some problems you have in English.
3. Фонетическая зарядка:
Teacher: Let’s start our lesson with the Tongue Twisters to show that the English language is
fun.

Teacher: As you see, it is not very easy to pronounce the sounds fast and correctly.
3. Совершенствование аудирования.
Teacher: Let’s talk about the reasons for learning English. I‘d like you to listen to the
students talking about their reasons for learning English. Listen to them attentively and after
you will tell me about these reasons. You may open your copybooks to make some notes.

Teacher: Please, tell me why Michael studies English.

4. Совершенствование грамматических навыков : Употребление Герундия и
Инфинитива.
( На доске фразы , после которых употребляется Гурндий и Инфинитив)
Teacher: Of course, travelling is one of the most essential reasons to study English.
We dream of visiting different countries but to communicate with people
it is necessary to know English.
T: What country is worth visiting? – China is worth visiting.
What country are you going to visit in future? – I am going to visit …..
What country would you like to visit?- I’d like to visit…
What country does he want to visit? = He wants to visit……………
What country would you mind visiting? – P: I don’t mind visiting ……….

5. Активизация монологической речи учащихся по теме «Презентация англоязычной страны»
Игра «Guess the country”
Teacher: Now let’s play the game “Guess the country”. Moreover, you should not only
guess the country but tell me some information about it.
Look at the blackboard. ( презентация) You will see the cards with some symbols of
English-speaking counrties. These symbols will help you to guess the country.

6. Знакомство с Шотландией.

Teacher: Oh, unfortunately, I have never told you about thшs country. But if you ask me some
questions, you will be able to guess this country. Your questions, please.

Scotland is a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, situated in the north of Great
Britain.
The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. It is one of the most attractive cities in Britain. Walking
around the city , you can touch on history at every step. Practically every building has a tale to
tell.
Do you know that the national dress of Scots is the kilt. Some people wear a kilt every day.
Bagpipes – national musical instrument of Scotland. Bagpipes are used in military parades of
Scotland and also in Scottish folk festivals.
Scotland is the land of mysteries. Everyone knows about the Loch Ness, Monster. It is the
creature living in Loch Ness Lake in the Scottish Highlands.
Scientists have investigated the Loch and taken pictures but no scientific explanation of the
mystery has been given.
Scotland is a beautiful country, that inspired Robert Burns to write so many wonderful poems
about its countryside and its people.

6. Совершенствование навыков аудирования на примере просмотра видеоролика по
теме «Правила, как учить английский более эффективно».
Teacher: Everybody has some problems in English. What problems do you have when you
study English?

Pronunciation. It is difficult to me to pronounce words correctly.
I have problems in spelling. I usually make many mistakes in spelling.
Problems in grammar.
When I listen to the tape-recorder, sometimes I understand nothing.
Teacher: Well, let’s watch VIDEO and you’ll hear some rules how to improve English, what to
do to learn English easier and faster.
I advise you to take your pencils and write down some rules.

7. Подведение итогов урока, домашнее задание.
